TOPIC: Farm Animals
Here are some activities in the Pre School:
The children made hen houses using the collage technique. They coloured the hens, the chicks and the rooves of the hen houses with colouring pencils. The children then glued them on the pieces of paper.
They enjoyed construction play and play with Happy Land toys using all sorts of toy play people, houses and animals
The children used the Activpanel – interactive computer, for mark making and for matching games related to our topic. They also used the tablets (computers).
The children were also doing some number recognition activities where a member of staff pointed to the numbers 0-25 on the wall, the children counted out loud and some recognised the numerals.
As the numbers increase so did the children’s voices and you could hear them counting from the other side of the Nursery.
During circle time the staff discussed our British Values and to say “please” and “thank you.” Our 'fundamental British values' are
> the rule of law.
> individual liberty.
> mutual respect for and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs and for those without faith.
